Classification Based Abilities
Each classification of cat has its own special ability.
House Cat - Empathic Link
House Cats have an empathic link with their owner. This allows them to completely understand what emotions their human is feeling as well as sense if they are in danger. The cat can also sense the general location of its owner no matter how far away he may be. A house cat may have an empathic link with 1 human plus 1 human per point it has in Pedigree but the human's must live in the same household as the cat. The humans that the cat is linked to can not be change unless the cat has been away from them for at least a year.
Tom Cat - Adrenalin Rush
Tomcats are intense fighters. Once per day per point of SIZE the cat has he may add one half his SIZE trait (rounded down) to his Fight/Play skill.
Alley Cat - Sense Danger
Alley Cats have the ability to sense whether something is dangerous. Any time the cat concentrates on a specific object, animal, human or area and makes a successful Sense/Perceive roll, he can tell whether it is dangerous or not.
Feral Cat - Terrify
Feral Cats have the ability to terrify other creatures by hissing at them. To do this he must make a successful "Other Animal" or "Human" skill roll at half (round down). If he succeeds the target creature is frightened and tries to run away.
Show Cat - Awareness
Show Cats have a special awareness to the occult world and can detect evil sources and in some instances can predict the future or see into the past. The exact uses of the Awareness ability are rather vague and vary based on the occasion and desired outcome. Any time a show cat wishes to use this ability he must make a Sense/Percieve roll (the Game Master will determine what happens based on the level of success and the desired result). This ability can be used a number of times per day equal to the cat's Pedigree.
Pedigree Based Abilities
Cats with a pedigree of 5 or higher gain special abilities regardless of their classification.
Pedigree of 5 - Soothing Purr
The Soothing Purr ability allows a cat to calm other creatures that are not openly hostile towards the cat. To use the ability the cat must be touching the target in such a way that the target can feel the vibrations of the cat's purr.
Pedigree of 7 - Charm Human or Animal
Cats with a 7 pedigree have the inate ability to charm a single person or animal. While charmed the target will do everything in its power to protect the cat. To successfully charm a target the cat must spend at least a month in the presence of the target and have physical contact with it at least once a day. The Charm ends if the cat and the charmed being are separated for a month or more. Only one person or animal can be charmed at a time.
Pedigree of 9 - Nine Lives
Cats with a 9 pedigree have incredible luck. Any time the cat would have been killed or otherwise mortally wounded he may make a Pedigree roll at half to avoid the outcome. A cat may make this roll only 9 times in his lifetime.
