Doing Stuff
The game mechanics are fairly simple for Cats. Any action your cat attempts is related to one of his skills. Once you determine which skill the action is attributed to simply roll a 12 sided die. If you roll under your skill the action succeeds. If you roll a 12 you automatically fail. If you roll a 1 you automatically succeed.
Combat
Combat works exactly the same as regular skill. Simply attempt to roll under you Fight/Play skill.
Taking Damage:
A creature can sustain an amount of damage equal to its SIZE trait. Most animals have a SIZE trait equal to half their weight in pounds. Below is a list of some damage ratings for different things.
Melee Weapons:
Small Blunt: 1/20 SIZE of Wielder
Small Bladed: 1/10 SIZE of Wielder
Large Blunt: 1/10 SIZE of Wielder
Large Bladed: 1/5 SIZE of Wielder
Guns:
Damage from guns ranges from 5 (BB gun) to 300 (50 caliber rifle).
Natural Weapons:
Claws: 1/10 SIZE
Bite: 1/5 SIZE
